2013 Grand Prix de la Découverte Now Open for Entries
An International Fine Art Photography Competition
The International Fine Art Photography Competition is focused on celebrating fine art photography, discovering new talent, and honoring exceptional work.
The renowned jury invites emerging and mid-career fine art photographers from around the world to submit up to 15 photographs in one or more categories - in color or black and white, using any photographic process or style of camera.
Photographers may enter each of their images in one or more of the following categories:
- Photography/Portrait
- Landscape/Seascape/Nature
- Cityscape/Architecture
- Street Photography/Documentary
- Still Life
- Abstract
- Experimental
Please note that this competition focuses on fine art photography and excludes commercial work such as advertising, wedding, or fashion photography.
You may submit a maximum of 15 entries. All images must be submitted as digital files. Photographers retain all copyrights to their work.
Entry fees:
- Early bird: (up to April 14, 2013): $20 per image per category.
- Regular: (up to May 12, 2013): $24 per image per category.
Prize Description:
For each of the seven categories:

- 1st Place—Grand Prix de la Découverte: $2000 cash award and award certificate, plus travel to Paris for the November exhibit and awards ceremony.
- 2nd Place: $1000 cash award and award certificate.
- 3rd Place: $500 cash award and award certificate.
The images selected as finalists by the jury will be:
- Exhibited in Paris during the Paris Grand Month of Photography (November 2013)
- Accepted into the prestigious collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France
- Exhibited in the Grand Prix de la Découverte online gallery and social media community

- May live in any country
In addition, 1st Place Winners will be published in aCurator Magazine and blog (seen by curators throughout the world), and Juror Award of Merit winners will be published in the online gallery and social media community.

To be eligible for this competition, photographers:
Photographers are not eligible to participate if they earn more than 75% of their income through their photography.
